Passion for Fishing • Conservation • Camaraderie
The Westport Striped Bass Club was established in 1962 by dedicated fishermen for the promotion, protection, and conservation of striped bass and other fish from our Long Island Sound waters.
Whether you fish from the shore, jetty, beach, surf, kayak, or boat — the WSBC welcomes all fishing members who share a passion and bond for fishing, good fellowship, and sound conservation practices.
Our Mission
Compete in calcuttas and contests throughout the season. Accumulate points and win prizes fishing the waters you love.
Learn plugging, live lining, trolling, chunking, bottom fishing, and more from experienced local anglers.
Earn recognition as our top angler through a season-long points competition across all species and events.
Participate in fish-tagging programs, Long Island Sound ecosystem education, and sound conservation practices.
Summer cookouts, Christmas celebrations, and the annual fishing benefit auction create lasting friendships.
Our popular annual fishing benefit auction features gear, trips, and experiences from local sponsors and members.
Annual membership is just $35.00 (+ $10.00 one-time registration fee for new members)
